The model is designed for competitive flying in the F3L and RCVS categories.
The wing and tail surfaces feature a built-up structure, and the wing spar is reinforced with carbon fibers. The covering is made from Oralight heat-shrink film.
The model has excellent flight characteristics in all weather conditions. Thanks to the ballast system, it can be flown in wind speeds of up to 8 m/s.
The fuselage features a plywood pod with a carbon tail boom. An adjustable tow hook is mounted underneath the fuselage, allowing precise positioning for different weather conditions.
The horizontal stabilizer is mounted on a pylon and secured with two 3 mm plastic screws.
Dex WIND has an extended lower section of the vertical stabilizer below the tail boom. This provides immediate response to control inputs, allowing steeply banked turns without sinking or losing speed.
The wing is equipped with two airbrakes in the center section to improve elevator response when the brakes are deployed during landing. In addition, the wing contains a 5.5 mm ballast tube located at the center of gravity. Thanks to this, the Dex WIND can be ballasted with rods made from different materials up to a total weight of 670 g.
The wing root chord is 190 mm.
